Back to birthday party planning, and filling up the month of May with activities. Heading to Orlando this weekend, and next month too for the Electric Daisy Carnival.  That's my Mother's Day gift :) and I couldn't be any happier about it. 

For those of you that have never heard of it, it's the biggest electronic dance music festival (outside of Europe). It's almost like Ultra Music Festival but it actually seems soooo much better!

For Easter, we all gathered at the beach. It was nice for the most part.

Seems like we will be gone for a couple of weeks in June to New York.

After we come back, I'll be on the hunt for a daycare/preschool because 

I will be starting Culinary School in the Fall.

FINALLY! I cant wait!!!!!  I can't wait till I get my knives and chef whites! I know, you must be asking yourself "Didn't you want to do Pastry School?"  The  answer is yes, but I've

 also wanted to go to culinary school too. It'd just make me a better 
human in the kitchen :-P but before I was interested in PS I 
wanted to go to CS and I'm extremely picky with  where I want to get this education from.

I am going for The French Culinary Institute, but that's in NY which is 
not where I'm currently located. So in the meantime I will stick with 
the Miami Culinary Institute in Downtown Miami.

I'm excited to see what this program will be like, and who/how are my classmates.

I don't know but ever since Sans Geebins (Thanksgiving) time seems to fly right by. I can't believe that we're in February already! Damn. I really haven't had much time to update this. Seems like this year is going to be one of my busiest years yet and I'm completely ready for it. Stand in my way, and yes, you will get knocked the f..down :)

Lil foodie in the making

I'm so glad I already filed for my taxes, got that off my to-do list. Made an appointment for Sophie to see a pediatric gastroenterologist, I suspect she might be allergic to Gluten..I pray that she's not but she has a lot of the signs of Celiac Disease. I can't even begin to imagine the nightmare this is going to be, It's bad enough she's allergic to the protein in Cow's milk. This little girl loves to eat! Any and everything you give her! Just to give you a little idea of what I'm talking about,

"If you have celiac disease and eat foods with gluten, your immune system responds by damaging the small intestine. Gluten is a protein in wheat, rye and barley. It is found mainly in foods but may also be in other products like medicines, vitamins and even the glue on stamps and envelopes." 

  

Lil Miss Thang

I have to start a sketch of the groom's cake I'm making for Jean. I know it's going to be poker/Vegas themed. It only makes sense to incorporate those two; He loves poker and he proposed in Vegas. I also have to go find a dress,shoes,hair ties for Sophia for the wedding. And lets not forget my dress alterations, because even though it was custom made to my exact measurements, it doesn't fit because of the weight I've lost in the past 3 or 4 months. Yay go me! I don't know the exact number  but I can tell you I went about 3 sizes down in shirts and about 4 in pants. Oh it's so much easier to shop at stores now. haha I need to stay away from the mall. I also have to get shoes,decide how I'm going to wear this dress (there's 50+ ways to wear it!),do my hair, help my mother find a dress for herself. 

Que fajas, ni que fajas.

This weekend I'm supposed to help my sister paint her house.This past weekend I helped her do some spring cleaning and we didn't even cover 20% of the house..ah the horror that awaits us! After the wedding, my mother is supposed to be moving, so we have to repack our lives and find a new place.

 All while this is going on, I'm trying to figure out whats the best school to go to with the best curriculum for either Culinary or Pastry Arts. It's astonishing to me that Miami has a myriad of places where you can indulge in some of the best tasting food but doesn't have a variety of schools where you can go to and learn how to master your skills in the kitchen. Tsk tsk Miami, tsk tsk.  (note to self :This is another reason why I must get out of here)
